After she lost her home in the storm, she came to live with me for a few glorious months. A silver lining of this tragedy. 🖤 one of the few parts of this year I’ll cherish forever. I haven’t posted many pictures from Ian or talke I haven’t posted many pictures from Ian or talked a lot about my personal experience, but as the anniversary draws near, I can’t help but want to remind everyone of the grief that still lingers in Southwest Florida. I’ve relived this unimaginable week every day since and sometimes feel like the world has moved on, but I haven’t… I just want to remind you, as you go about your lives in Southwest Florida, be aware that some people will never be the same after what they’ve been through. The stories, the things we’ve seen. Some won’t ‘celebrate’ September 28th. Some people don’t give a shit about your vacation home. Some people don’t want to talk about it. Some people still have trauma and PTSD. If this is a triggering time for you, stay off social media and be with people you love. The only other way to heal is time.
